Sacred Rivers is Moving!

I 'birthed' Sacred Rivers Yoga about seven years ago. My vision was to create a center devoted to yoga and related healing arts and bodywork to serve as a community resource, and promote the healing practices which have been so important in my life.

Sacred Rivers Yoga, the dream, became reality on May 21st, 2003 when I signed a five year triple net lease. The five year lease term has expired. I have put all my heart and soul, and time and money, into the growth and success of the studio everyday for the past five years.

I have given serious consideration to the future of Sacred Rivers Yoga. Because of the burden of the $6000.00 per month rent and anticipated increases, a new location with more congenial terms will better suit the energies flowing into Sacred Rivers. Monday, August 25th, 5:30 pm Power Yoga with Jack will be the last class at 2850 Main Street.

The studio will reopen on Wednesday, September 10th, for the 5:30 pm all levels class, in a new location at 2934 Main Street, less than half a minute away (or a three minute walk, according to Google Maps.) We are hopeful that this transition will be seamless and we will keep everyone informed as the process continues. The potential offered by this new setting is very promising. We look forward to opportunities to collaborate with medical professionals sharing the building and nearby.

I hope you will consider this new space to be yours, and continue to build our yoga community.

Please help us to achieve our goal and meet our deadlines. We are taking everything - our doors, floors, etc., etc., and need help dismantling and restoring, painting, etc. Any time, skills, and talents that you have to offer will be gratefully received!

Help would be appreciated on Thursday, August 21st and Saturday and Sunday, August 23rd and 24th, at the new space on 2934 Main Street, as well as anytime during the week of August 25th through September 3rd at both locations, day or night.

The September schedule, with the addition of new classes and teachers, will be announced after our move. The current class schedule will remain in effect until then. Please check our website for updates. Your class cards will all be extended, of course, to make up for the time lost. All services presently offered will continue(classes, workshops, teacher training dates, therapeutic massage and bodywork, acupuncture, Diminishing Dimensions, etc.)

I am open to suggestions. I have been doing this alone for the last five years. In the process, I have learned many valuable lessons, including non- attachment , and the importance of flexibility of mind.

I feel very grateful and very blessed.

A river represents both change and constancy. "Undivided wholeness in flowing movement" (David Bohm) The past is gone and the future is not yet here. The experience of transition provides the incredibly rich, passionate, expansive, and the most alive and growth filled moments in our lives.

With warm regards,

and in appreciation of your patronage,

Namaste
