Catherine Sarni began taking yoga classes as a way to strengthen her body and effectively deal with stress but has discovered so much more during her many years of practice. She has experienced yoga’s power as a health system and expanded her practice to include not only asana but also breath work, meditation, and the study of jyotish, mantra and yogic philosophy. Bringing a sampling of these to her classes, she provides students with an opportunity to experience yoga’s many gifts for mind, body, and spirit which they can bring out of the studio and into their lives. Catherine is a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. She considers her style to be a combination of several traditions and enjoys teaching a variety of different classes. She has extensively explored the role of a regular yoga practice in maintaining bone density and offers workshops on this topic. Her classes are student centered with a focus on the movement of energy and the quieting of the mind.
